Wadestown is an inner city suburb, situated on Tinakori Hill, overlooking the
harbour, with views of hills, water, and parts of the city. You can watch ships
and aeroplanes come and go at a peaceful distance.
The suburb has an excellent public library, churches, primary school, local
doctor, dairy/grocery stores, hairdresser, beautician, and
takeaway/takeout food outlets. The adjacent suburb has a supermarket,chemist (drugstore), variety
stores and café and bar.
Within a short distance of Annaday are the Houses of Parliament, many
embassies, museums, theatres, restaurants, Westpac Stadium, swimming pools,
beaches, parks, adventure and nature tours, Lord of the Rings sites, railway,
bus and ferry depots and Wellington's commercial and retail centre. Annaday is
only 10.5 kilometres from Wellington airport.
Guests will be encouraged to walk through the hidden valley - an oasis of calm
and natural beauty complete with attractive clean stream in the
heart of the city - or to the top of Tinakori Hill to take in
magnificent views in all directions.

The best route to take if driving to Annaday is to take the Hawkestone
Street exit from the motorway then turn right and right again
which puts you in Tinakori Road. Turn left into Park Street at
the traffic lights. Or from Molesworth Street across the motorway
and Tinakori Road traffic lights to Park Street.
Then from Park Street, turn left into Grant Road and then right into
Wadestown Road. Continue driving up the hill until Moorhouse
Street and Philip Myers Park are on your right. Annaday is opposite
the park at the top of Moorhouse Street- a tight left turn into
the driveway( shared with no 41), then straight ahead to the house
and off street parking.
